Become part of our growing, dynamic team! Squatters Roadhouse Grill, located in Park City is looking for professional, reliable, and enthusiastic prep cooks.
The Prep Cook assists the Chefs and/or Line Cooks with any combination of duties to prepare customer orders and to maintain the kitchen work areas in clean and organized condition ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Prepares all food items to be used on the cook's line or in service areas by chopping foods, making salads, putting together entrees and etc.
Properly stores and labels food.
Understands kitchen equipment and the operation of the equipment (food processor, dishwasher, convection oven, etc.).
Maintains a clean work environment, including floors.
Responsible for baking food items, breads, desserts, etc.
Cleans kitchen and equipment according to routine schedule planned by the Manager.
Sets up the salad bar as required.
Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized.
Assists on the serving line when needed.
Adheres to company policies and procedures.
Other duties as may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1+ year equivalent experience.
Familiarity with food items, culinary terms, kitchen equipment usage and knife safety.
Must be able to work day, evening or a combination of shifts on weekends and/or public holidays.
Must have the ability to learn basic cooking skills, safety and sanitation skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work quickly, independently, and as a part of team.
Must obtain current Food Handlers Permit.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Standing for long periods of time.
Ability to bend, lift and work in small, fast paced kitchen.
